POWER Leadscrews are an excellent and reliable way of converting rotary motion into a linear motion. Application criteria such as speed, load and the accuracy of position all have a direct effect on the form and physical size of the lead screw and nut design. If you use leadscrews and nuts or perhaps you are considering the product within your designs, then give ABSSAC a call. We stock lead screws for industrial through to precision applications and have knowledgeable sales staff on hand to help with your selection. ABSSAC offers a complete turn key machining options on all of the screws and nuts as well a full range of radial or thrust bearing units, which can be supplied at very competitive prices.
The POWER screw lead screws primarily use a trapezoidal thread form that delivers high performance and repeatability. Stocking up to 3 meter lengths of lead screw in diameters of 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 22mm, 24mm, 30mm, 36mm, 40mm and 50mm in both right and left handed formats. Supplied in both Steel and Stainless Steel the POWER SCREW lead screws ranges are complimented by a range of flanged or non flanged Bronze nuts as well as round, hex and square steel nuts. ABSSAC offers a free cut to length service on all the POWER SCREWS.

POWER Lead screws that are cold rolled formed have the immediate advantage of a work hardened surface on which the load bearing nut will travel. Starting with a pre-ground Stainless Steel bar stock, the thread form is gradually rolled into the material with increasing pressure ensuring precise material deformation along the thread form as it is worked. By repeating this process the screw stock work hardens into a smooth finish with the desired diameter and lead as the finished product. The Trapezoidal screw form deliverers a high efficiency, drag reducing surface which is ideal for the range of associated plastic and bronze nuts; Abssac's TR316 POWER lead screw product is winning business through its high efficiency product finish and competitive pricing structure.
Position accuracy - Tolerance is +/- 0.2 mm for every 300 mm of the thread. Available lengths - Stock lengths 3000mm or shorter
Key product advantages
Working closely with our customers to supply a finished ready to fit linear product, not only reduces their scrap rates, but also ensures that the lead screw and nut fit tolerances are maintained every time. Holding excellent journal concentricity, regardless of diameter, the manufacturing services deliver complete turn-key lead screw assemblies to specification
Linear guideways provide excellent load bearing linear motion by re-circulating rolling elements between a profiled rail and a bearing block. By primarily using a four ball path design, within the slide, delivers excellent rigidity and parallelism during operation. The guides can be used in both vertical and horizontal planes.
ABSSAC supplies both radial and thrust bearings, complete with housings, to compliment their expanding lead screw and ball screw ranges. All bearings include the bearing set, bearing housing, snap ring, lock nut, spacer ring and retaining cover. Available to suit all shaft sizes, the range delivers robust radial and thrust protection in any rotary or linear application. Let us help you with your selection.
We provide a full range of quality, low cost lubricants for all our linear products including low vapour pressure greases for clean room and vacuum applications. For example the new Trigel line is specifically formulated to offer a lubrication solution for a wide range of linear motion applications. Please ask for further details.
ABSSAC welcomes reverse engineering applications. Over the years, many customers have sent damaged leadscrews and nuts for us to measure and replicate, often as a result that dimensional drawings do not exist. Please contact one of our knowledgable sales engineers for further details.
