Servoflex

The Servoflex couplings are available in a variety of models, characterised by high flexibility and high torsional stiffness. They are ideal for reliable and precise positioning at high speeds. Servoflex couplings can be used in a wide variety of applications from general industrial equipment to high-speed precision machines. Using hubs for shaft connection and disc packs for torque transmission and flexibility, the design can easily be customised to meet the demands of almost every rotary application.  In all product placements, the Servoflex coupling has proven to be very reliable, delivering cost effective torque transmission.

Servoflex coupling SFC-SA2

SFC Model

Extremely light, torsional stiff and flexible coupling

The SFC Model is a disc-spring coupling that use a lightweight, high-strength aluminum alloy for the clamp hub to enable high torsional stiffness and high response. Both single-element types and flexible double-element types that separate double elements with a spacer are available. Both lower the moment of inertia by linking the outer diameter of the hub to the shaft diameter.

Properties

  • Hub of high-strength aluminum alloy
  • Very low moment of inertia
  • Ultra-high torsional stiffness
  • Highly flexible
  • 0.25 to 250 Nm

SFR-Coupling.jpg

SFR Model

High dampening performance with high precision

The Servoflex SFR Coupling uses a HNBR rubber element to provide a higher amount of vibration dampening than comparable disc pack couplings. It does so whilst retaining a high level of precision and performance with zero backlash and strong torque transmission.

Properties

  • High-strength aluminium alloy hubs
  • High dampening characteristics
  • Maximum speed of up to 10,000 RPM
  • 5 to 25 Nm

Servoflex coupling SFF-SS-B

SFF Model

Accurate positioning

These couplings utilise sets of optimised disc springs to transmit torque through steel clamp hubs. Their torsional stiffness is extremely high, their shaft rotation is accurate, and control can be ultra-precise. Both single-element and double-element types are available, with an option of conical and regular clamping hubs.

Properties

  • Maximum speed of up to 18,000 min-1.
  • High-precision assembly by a special centering
  • Torsional stiff and highly flexible
  • 8 to 1000 Nm

Servoflex coupling SFS-G

SFS Model

Modular construction to fit every application

These couplings utilise sets of optimised disc springs to transmit torque through steel clamp hubs. They are the basic type of SERVO FLEX. Singleelement types, double-element types that separate double elements with a spacer, and floating shaft types that combine double elements with intermediate flanges are available.

Properties

  • Maximum speed of up to 25,000 min-1
  • High torsional stiffness
  • Different adaptation available
  • 20 to 600 Nm

Servoflex coupling SFM-SS-K

SFM Model

Highly precise control

These models were developed to be compatible with spindle applications on machine tools. They are disc spring couplings capable of high precision and high speed. To enable high-precision mounting, both the flange unit and the pressurization flanges are equipped with centering mechanisms. They are also shaped so that the flange covers the periphery of the disc spring with few raised or lowered surfaces to minimize whistling during high speed rotation. Both single-element and double-element types are available.

Properties

  • Maximum speed of up to 24,000 min-1
  • High torsional stiffness
  • Silent at high speed
  • 60 – 1000 Nm

Servoflex coupling SFH-G

SFH Model

The high-torque versions

The maximum size with disc spring couplings for high-output applications is an outer flange diameter of 262 mm and rated torque of 8000 Nm. Single-element types with high torsional stiffness and flexible double-element floating-shaft types that connect double elements with an intermediate floating shaft are available. The floating shaft is particularly able to handle the setting of lengths according to customer requirements.

Properties

  • 1000 – 8000 Nm
  • High torsional stiffness
  • Zero backlash
  • Different adaptations available
