Starflex: Complete Couplings

The Starflex Jaw Coupling has a simple construction consisting of two aluminum hubs and a polyurethane elastomer insert.

The elements are available in three different configurations, varying in hardnesses and tightness of fit, so that a selection dependent on torque transmission responsiveness and amount of misalignment can be made.

Since the design pre-compresses the element, it can also be used to deliver rotation without backlash. Starflex couplings are available with either clamping hubs (Type ALS-B) or set screw hubs (Type ALS-H).
