Metal stamping, fourslide components, flat springs and specialty parts from a variety of materials.

Several of our locations specialize in the stamping of metal components using a variety of presses from 30 to 400 ton capacity. The metallurgical expertise we use to design all of our spring and fastener products extends to stampings as well, allowing our engineers to design components utilizing materials from high carbon steel, pre-tempered and alloys including chrome vanadium (CrV 5160) in thicknesses from .004" to .250" depending on the configuration of the part and tonnage required. In-house tooling and design, engineering support, and a wide array of secondary processes (deburring, e-coat, welding, assembly, etc.) allow MW Industries, Inc. (MWI) to manufacture even the most complex metal stamping designs for your applications.

Additionally, MWI locations can produce flat springs in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials from flat strip steel. Flat springs may function as electrical conductors, but more commonly are required to hold other assembly components in a set position. Fourslide equipment is used along with smaller punch presses in order to reduce the amount of tooling normally required for other production methods. Most flat springs are formed, shaped, bent or otherwise manufactured to meet specific application requirements.
