Solid Shaft Couplings

A solid compression-type coupling or rigid coupling as it is sometimes termed has no flexibility but can effectively be used to connect two shafts to make a permanent joint. The solid coupling is usually designed to be capable of transmitting the full torque load capacity of the shaft.

Doors Open at Engineering Design Show

4-way Flexing Action

The name TB Wood’s http://www.abssac.co.uk/p/Shaft+Couplings/SureFlex+Shaft+Coupling/34/ couplings utilises a rubber (EPDM), Neoprene, or Hytrel sleeve between two cast hubs. The flexible element allows 4-way flexing action and absorbs virtually all types of shock, misalignment, and end float.

90mm diameter screws delivered to water filtration plant

Using an existing damaged screw for dimensional information, Abssac replicated 14 screws which were a massive 90mm diameter by 2 metres long. Weighing over 100kg each and using a basic trapezoidal thread form satisfied another Abssac customer.
