Torsion springs

Machined torsion springs, as the name suggests, are machined from a solid peice of material.

Using F.E.A to optimise performance, we can provide very precise, linear deflection rates because virtually all-residual internal stresses are eliminated. Most wound torsion springs can achieve a rate of around 15%, the machined alternative can easily achieve 10% on rate and can be tuned to +/-2% for the more demanding applications.
