The Schmidt-Kupplung is a compact, torsionally stiff performance shaft coupling that compensates for variable parallel shaft offset without side loads during operation. The Schmidt-Kupplung is the ideal precision component for small envelopes. Through its modular construction both torque transmission and radial offset capacity can be optimized for each application.
Standard S series
A symbiosis of performance, compact design and generous offset capacity. Torque (TKN) up to 2,875 Nm. Maximum radial misalignment capacity up to 115mm. Bore diameters up to 80mm
Power Plus P series
Offers more torque transmission in a compact design when space is limited. Torque (TKN) up to 6,610 Nm. Maximum radial misalignment capacity up to 115mm. Bore diameters up to 95mm
Offset Plus V series
Offers extreme parallel shaft offset while retaining compact design. Torque (TKN) up to 3,830 Nm. Maximum radial misalignment capacity up to 275mm. Bore diameters up to 80mm

The video demonstrates one of the innovative and precision shaft couplings known as the Schmidt-Kupplung®. It is a torsionally stiff performance coupling that compensates for variable parallel shaft offset, up to a staggering 275 mm, without side loads and in a very compact envelope.
The well-balanced design transmits torque without adding side loads to the drive. The Schmidt-Kupplung@ is utilised in many applications, in fact the design can be utilised in any transmission design where high torque, high shaft offset and small DBSE is present. The precision coupling transmits torque under constant angular velocity at all possible offsets and can transmit torque ranges from 35 Nm to 6610 Nm. 2D and 3D CAD format drawings are available for all model types.

The coupling design of three discs and two sets of links delivers exceptional torque in a small length and outsiode diameter .
The well-balanced dimensions of the components and the large effective radius of the links give the Schmidt-Kupplung exceptional torsional stiffness.
The Schmidt-Kupplung is available in 3 basic series for various performance levels. There are three different shaft-hub connections available, thos being a taper lock, standard bore or flange mount.
By choosing the appropriate shaft-hub connection, a drop-out installation of the coupling is possible.
Torque is transmitted via compression and tension of the coupling lever links. This well balanced system transmits torque without adding side loads to the drive. Moreover, the Schmidt-Kupplung will not transmit radial vibration from the drive to the driven shaft.
