Whether it is a simple lead screw or acme thread, Abssac has one of the largest linear product ranges to choose from. Combine this with a fast turnaround machine shop that can supply end journals that are ready to fit directly into your application, which ultimately reduces your scrap rate. Abssac is ready to help you find the right product for the right price.
Employing a traditional hands on approach to business, Abssac has expanded its lead screw ranges further by adding more diameters and leads per product range in 2009. We now supply miniature diameters from 2mm up to the power screw ranges that start at 12mm and go up to a maximum of 200mm in diameter . We supply both metric and imperial leads per diameter in both right and left hand formats. Supplying, cold rolled, whirled, machined or ground style lead screw formats in stainless steel, low carbon steel and exotic materials if required, means that we have the linear device to suit all applications.
Precision Thread Rolling Service
If our standard thread styles and forms do not quite fit what you are looking for, we can provide a thread form to your exact specification. We also stock a wide variety of thread forms and sizes. The engineering department welcome inquiries for special and exotic thread forms and places us in the unique position to research and develop custom thread forms and provide first article inspection if required.
The 60 degree METRIC thread form is commonly used in short lead (fine-pitch) linear motion applications.
Standard Features:
The 30 degree Trapezoidal (Metric Acme) is a common thread form used in linear motion which provides both efficiency of motion and load strength.
Standard Features:
The 29 degree ACME thread form provides both efficiency of motion and load strength. Cold formed lead screw material has a smooth finish for reduced friction and a strong grain structure for driving high loads.
Standard Features:
The 60 degree UNIFIED NATIONAL (UN) thread form is commonly used in short lead (fine-pitch) linear motion applications.
Standard Features:
The nuts are manufactured using a Polyamide type resin with excellent coefficient of friction properties. Ensuring a backlash free operation is made possible using a split nut and integral spring design. Please note that this product can be used without addtional lubircation as a lubricating agent is incorporated in the nut material.

End Journal machining
Our machining capability gives you a high journal concentricity product and can be applied to all screws regardless of diameter. Lets work together to reduce your scrap rates and supply ball solutions that fit your application every time. We can work directly from your dimensional drawings or if they do not exist, why not supply us with a physical sample for us to copy. Although all types of end machine detail can be supplied we offer a very cost effective basic end journal machining that fits our range of support bearings (see example diagrams below)
