Lead screw applications often require Abssac to look at enhancements to the standard product in order that higher efficiencies or perhaps higher temperatures or duty cycles can be achieved without premature product degradation.

One such enhancement of the standard lead screw product is Teflon coating. Teflon by nature has some keen attributes in the world of linear motion apart from the obvious; having one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid material. For example, stainless steel products coated with Teflon ® fluoropolymer resins offer extremely hydrophobic properties and are completely resistant to hydrolysis. As a good barrier to water permeation; typical properties and dimensional stability remain unchanged even after year-long immersion in water.

The coating can also offer resistance to even the most aggressive organic and inorganic chemicals and solvents over a broad temperature range. Teflon coating can be applied to most of the lead screw products we supply.

If you already have some application parameters that you feel might benefit from such a product enhancement, why not complete and send one of the following general engineering proposal forms or alternatively contact our sales engineering department who will be more than happy to help you.

Linear guides and rails

Guides & RailsIf you are interested in the using the screw ranges, do not forget that we also supply the full range of linear guides and rails which can provide the load support in your linear mechanism. Offering excellent rigidity and parallelism during operation the guides can be used in both vertical and horizontal planes.

Greases and Lubricants

We provide a full range of quality, low cost lubricants for all our linear products including low vapour pressure greases for clean room and vacuum applications. For example the new Trigel line is specifically formulated to offer a lubrication solution for a wide range of linear motion applications. Please ask for further details.  Grease features include, Temperature range -30°C to 150°C,  Revolutionary multi-complex soap technology, Greatly extended lubrication intervals typically 3 times longer than conventional soap thickened greases. Good corrosion resistance. Some greases are supplied blue in colour for high visibility.
