9150Nm Stainless Ujoint

One of Abssac’s Universal Joint products has just passed extensive testing connecting an electric motor to a compressor for use in large cold store. As part of a national refurbishment, 303 Stainless steel was utilised to accept both the arduous environmental requirements, but also a possible static torque of up 9150Nm (81000lbin).

Each U-Joint was 100mm (4”) in diameter and 270mm  ( 10.6”) long and capable of accepting up to 35 degrees of angular shaft offset.  Abssac was chosen as the preferred supplier on both cost, delivery and performance.
